It's a small cafe near the Tabo Monastery offers variety of food, thali and snacks. I had ordered Coffee and pakoras and they were good and portion size of the pakoras was good. I will rate it value for money. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I did not like the ketchup they gave along the pakoras.

Lovely ambience and yummy food. We tried spiti thali here. In this thali you will not get rotis and regular veggies but traditional spiti food. It was little expensive, but we were not expecting a cost efficient food in a remote village.

The food was amazing. Momos and Pancakes were just too good (also the pizza-like dish with potato as base, can't recall the name). The owner is friendly and makes recommendations based on your preferences. Very satisfying experience.

Lovely place to chill ( literally also!) if you can bear the winds on their terrace :) They also have indoor and outdoor seating on the ground floor. Their menu has a wide range - one can select from Continental to Indian and a good spread of Spiti's local dishes too. I loved the Barley soup and seabuckthorn juice.

The best tsampa pancakes and butter tea. This is my fourth visit to Tabo and eating at Kunzum is a must. The biggest highlight of the place is the little girl who stays there, and she is full of cute stories, anecdotes and songs. The best hosts :)

Spiti Organic Kitchen should be in your itinerary if your planning to visit spiti valley. The place is situated in Komic - Worlds Highest Village connected with a motorable road situated at the height of 4587mts. The view from the cafe is mesmerising and you can see vast range of mountains and clear blue sky. You can find some of local delicacy which is worth at that height and in cold temperature. Non-veg is not available and payment can only be made in cash. They also sells souvenirs such as fridge magnet, tibet flag along with post card which can use to Post it at world hight post office in Hikkim.

Spiti Organic Kitchen:The thought of eating at the highest restaurants in the world which is connected by road was fascinating for me. I always wanted to go and have delicious momos at Spiti Organic kitchen. It is situated in Komic village which is the highest village that can be reached by a motorable road. The story of this cafe is simple, it has been started by a local who has indispensable love for mountains and wanted to serve people with his unique cooking skills. Momos here are to die for and if you like pancakes, Nutella pancakes are heaven.

Situated at Komic - Highest village connected to motor-able road. A very nice place to stay and dine, with limited rooms available its on your luck if you get an accommodation, the staff are very helpful and caring.Price may seems on higher side to some, but please keep in mind the difficulty they face to get those raw material to prepare your food.

The heightest hotel in the world connected by a road. At such height the food options are limited and amazingly all the options are veg.i ll suggest must taste the Authentic Spiti sandwich with tomato chutney. You can also order a Spiti thali.At such a height Maggi is also the best option to have.

A great small cafe located in the KAZA Market.From the cafe the snow clad mountain can be seen and they serve homely food and great taste.Not a very big cafe but cozy once.Have food amidst great view.

This place has delicious food and amazing vibes. They created everything from scratch which made the food even more yummy. We ordered Mexican Pizza, Garlic Bread, Fries with Cheese and Herbs and Hot Chocolate. Everything was super delicious.

One of the best little cafes we have been to in four months of travelling in India. Great food (awesome menu), service (by volunteers) and atmosphere.

Nice place, vibes are great in any cafe around here as you are in kaza, ambience is good. Food is delicious. Some percentage of the the earnings goes to some NGO (forgot the name) and most of the time its been run by the volunteers from various part of the country working there for few months or weeks. This cafe has branches in other cities too. Pizza, herbal tea are few of the picks here.

I found this cafe while I was roaming in the streets of Kaza. It was locked when I saw it first and I was lucky to visit it the third day.The cafe is cute from inside (so is from outside). Loved the concept.Whatever I could understand, I assume it's some sort of community run cafe (correct me if I'm wrong). I ordered one coffee, two cookies, two sea buckthorn juice. My total bill was 310 rupees. While I was going through more reviews, I found many of the reviews were about overpricing to which I'm not sure that much.The coffee was fine. The juice was wonderful I had to order one more glass after my first order. I didn't like the chocolate cookie which was a Marie biscuit dipped in chocolate.The vibes of this cafe are wonderful.

Nice ambiance and a good place to chill. They also have volunteers working opportunity here. However the food is a little on the higher side, cost-wise but as they are into sustainable tourism therefore it all goes into a good cause. It is part of Spiti ecosphere and works towards a good cause for the locals.

We visited Sol Café multiple times in Aug 2021. Apologies for the late review.Ambience: The setting is an old mud house that’s refurbished with an eye-for-detail. It’s a place with a relaxed vibe and super-friendly ambience. You will instantly feel at peace with eye-catching colours, good music, and lovely décor. Opt to sit outdoors at their backside tables, or even better, on the terrace. Sipping a cuppa with a view of mountains is next-level exciting. They have a ‘Wish to the World’ ceiling, where you can write your wishes on a piece of chart paper and stick it to the ceiling. It was fun to read the wishes of so many travellers from all across the world. They have a smallish library with interesting books; they even offer book exchange.Food & Drinks: We stayed in Kaza for quite a long time and visited the café multiple times. Having tried most of their menu, we can now say that both the food and beverages are excellent. We tried their SeaBuckThorn Juice and SeaBuckThorn Tea at the suggestion of the volunteer, and we absolutely loved them. The coffee and drinks are super nice. We highly recommend their specials – Special Sol Sandwich and Bombay Sandwich. If you have an appetite for just one thing, try their Pizza. They freshly prepare it on a stove with homemade wholewheat dough. And, oh, we loved loved their chocolate cake (which is also baked freshly every day), the chocolate-coated cookies, and barley energy bars. The café is also vegan friendly and replaces cow milk with soy milk or almond milk on request (no other café in Spiti does that)! You can fill your water bottles from their water filling stations for free.Movie Night: They showcase a movie every evening in their very own mini-theatre located inside the café (it’s basically a projector and a screen, but no complaints!). You can find their weekly movie calendar displayed right outside the café. The movies showcased are not just any movies but are themed around travel, adventure, and of course, the evergreen Hindi/ English movies. The seating is super cozy and comfortable. You will find Spiti-themed T-shirts, notebooks, magnets, keychains, water bottles, mugs, locally made woollen mufflers and gloves, and very popular postcards. The postcards are designed by volunteers and are super unique. Take our word, you won’t find such unique postcards anywhere in the entire Spiti Valley. You can even buy the SeaBuckThorn Crush to make the juice and tea on your own when you are back home.Price: The menu is priced fairly. Although you may feel that some dishes are overpriced, the portions are large and filling. And remember that all their proceeds from the sale of meals and merchandise goes to a social enterprise that works for the betterment of the valley and its residents.Staff: The café is run by volunteers. They are friendly and welcoming. The chefs have magic in their hands. Expect a little longer waiting time for your order as every dish and every drink is prepared fresh. Once the food is at the table, you will forget that you had to wait. They have board games that you can play to kill the waiting time.All in all, Sol Café is not just a place to eat. It is a place to spend time, shop, play, watch movies, and have fun. Although it is a little more walk towards the market, we highly highly recommend it. A must-visit.

Quenching my chocolate craving with a cake after I have completed my dinner from other restaurant.. There was a lady volunteering the cafe..Ambience was pretty nice ..Well decorated ..Actually kind of book cafe as I feel ..Cake was fulfilling but all items on the menu card were overpriced as per my opinion ..It's a cafe so it had to be more pocket friendly ..Overall I enjoyed there having my guilty pleasure !

The cafe has a great vibe. The view is amazing. They have outdoor seating available to fully enjoy the hills view. Food was a little expensive but the taste was delicious. My favourite was the peach iced tea. Lasagna and paste were also yum. The staff was so polite and friendly. They even recommend food items according to your likings. They have super-clean washrooms which are a must for the tourists visiting. I definitely recommend it!

Had a suggestion to visit cafe 1947 and I was surely not disappointed. The place has a beautiful outdoor searing with an amazing view of the river next to it. Due to rains We couldn't get the outdoor area . We had a pizza and a coffee . The pizza was one of the best I have ever had . The crust of the pizza was really outstanding and it was baked to perfection .

This review is for the cafe and not the hotel rooms. If you are planning to come here for have a good time, let me save you the embarrassment. The quality of food and drinks has degraded by a lot. If you’re coming for the view from those riverside tables, there is a minimum billing of 4000 to sit there and the service is slow af. Our food took ages to come and had no taste whatsoever. Would not visit ever again. Asked for a replacement for my lemonade which was too sweet, got served the same drink with salt poured over the top.

Really nice cafe in the outskirts of Manali. The river side view paired with snow capped mountains is so amazing over here you can't stop gushing about it every now and then. The food was a bit expensive but you can't complain if they're serving you good quality food. The hospitality was also very good by the staff. They have rooms to stay as well in the upper floors. You might wanna stop here and enjoy with your family or partner :)

We had heard a lot of buzz around Cafe 1947 through friends and social media, so we went there during our road trip to Manali. The cafe has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. We opted for outdoor seating even though it was a bit chilly that day but totally worth it given the serene views and soothing sound of flowing water.Food and drinks were awesome. Their thin crust wood fired pizza was delicious! We also tried hookah and it was amazing! Must visit cafe in Manali! It is usually fully packed so you may have to wait for a seating of your choice. It's an Amazon place to visit. Well Located scenery - wise. However there is usually a waiting during peak/ close to peak hours as they only have 3-4 riverside balcony tables. They are good with putting a table on the waiting list. Parking outside could be an issue as they don't have parking and you have to park road side and might not find a good spot.Hookah is also allowed in the patio in the open, which makes the whole place smell of hookah smoke and flavour which was not ideal but a personal preference. They also have a closed hall for this right next to the patio.Food is good quality and quantity.

I loved the place, the food was a blast, we had the almond & wild mushroom soup, the fish, the grilled veggies and the icing was the Irish coffee. I've been fortunate to have had this beverage in many of my travels, and I thought these guys know their drill. I'm in all awe of their food, their service and their hospitality.There's one thing, that stood out, when the waiter sent the bill from the top, the waiter down realised that one of the orders weren't billed and sent the bill back for that to be included, but when the bill came back it had an extra beer which was never ordered or served, if an astute waiter who didn't serve us, would know a drink not billed, should be not know what we consumed. With all the tech at their command , I'm surprised about an over billing. It shouldn't happen, well heeled tourists who spend money trust the organization to be fair and diligent. Make sure your dine with them, their food is second to none. Also make sure you are billed right, not a penny more, not a penny less. 🤔

However sadly, just like Manali this placed has hyper commercialised and lost it’s charm .The outdoor sitting by the river does not even have the shades for the scorching sun in May and they have the audacity to ask for minimum table billing on Rs 4k while the outdoor is totally unoccupied !Found a better alternative - “the white house” and is 5 mins away. Sitting was better, staff was courteous and the food was great.

The cafe have outstanding river side view.I’ve visited because my driver told me that it is the oldest cafe in town. I’ve ordered 2 whiskey sour in co*cktails, 1 fresh lime soda in soft drinks, 1 veg burger and 1 cranberry cheesecake.Whiskey sour was really good and tasty.And the veg burger was fulfilling.And the way they garnished the cranberry cheesecake, it’s looking delicious.

Cafe 1947 is located right next to River Beas, location was incorrect, updated in maps now. One can enjoy excellent food and drink while feasting on the lovely sight of the rushing river and mountains. Mostly continental food served, Walked in for quick bite n coffee, ordered Irish coffee n must try. This cafe have great vibes, live music, beautiful ambiance. They also have a open air seating which is beautiful.

Nope... I'm not going there again. This place is totally overrated. The food is bland and overpriced. Their coffee is good though and desserts are somewhat average. I had ordered a cheesecake. It wasn't bad but I've had better for the exact same price. Tiramisu was an absolute disaster. Their pizza and lasagna didn't agree with our palates either. The cafe is photogenic and the view outside is amazing but a group of five people shouldn't be paying 3000 bucks for it. The whole town of Manali offers that scenery for free!

I think the place overhyped when it comes to the food they are serving. Of course, the ambience is tops. It's one of the best cafe with great riverside view in Manali. The food was delicious, it serves drinks also and the staffs were very good. It has both indoor and outdoor sitting (with best riverside and mountains view). It's on a bit expensive side but it's worth trying. It is situated in between old Manali and Solang.

I recently visited Cafe 1947 in Manali, and it was a delightful experience. Cafe has beautiful view of river. The ambience and food are really good. However a bit overpriced as per the location. The prices are at par with cafes in the metro cities. So it seems overpriced here.

Good view but they charge for sitting on the edge, which seemed very suspect knowing that this is a well known establishment. Then the food came and it became clear why they need novel sources of revenue. The ravioli was some of the worst I've had. Tasted like milk powder and sadness. Rest of the food wasn't any good either.

This is for sure an overhyped place. Though we read all the negative comments about the place, we still went there because of the hype and suggestions from locals. The food taste is below average. We ordered mix sauce pasta and chicken garlic bread. The pasta was totally bland and the chicken garlic bread had no taste. cold coffee was good. This place serves great food. I was unable to decide about what to order for breakfast, since I didn't want to eat anything conventional...but the owner was around the server taking the order and he kinda overheard my conversation. He suggested me to try the Barley soup (posted in the pictures) which the locals and he himself enjoys very regularly. It was his supposed to be breakfast too on that day. The servers here are really polite and helpful which is a plus. I look forward to chasing such experiences which was made possible this instance by their kindness.

Nice place to just chill in the heart of Kaza's market or to people watch as there are a lot of tourists around.Loved the mushroom + black olive tacos and the seabuckthorn tea. The place is expensive, as compared to some of the other options in the vicinity, but the food is worth it.

Must visit cafe to visit if you're in Kaza.They have a wide variety of food that also tastes really good. Outdoor seating in the morning when the weather is bearable and indoor seating when the weather is cold.They have a cozy setup at night with heating, which is really a crowd puller.

One of the best cafe to dine in , in kaza with amazing view of mountains and river. It has open plus house in space, I will say prefer outside as being in such place, you should feel the vibes of amazing atomsphere. Loved the place and food is amazing except thupka, I really did not enjoy that , so wont recommend but must try the pizza and non vegetarian dishes. I went thrice during my stay in lovely place. One pro tip - always carry cash in such places as network is big problem and they dnt have wifi as well. Very colourful and vibrant , I am sure that whosever visit it , will surely love coming back.

Just mind blowing food. We were a group of 11 of evening snacks and ended up pumping our stomachs hard. We loved the Tingmo with Chicken stuffing. Thukpa was authentic and delicious. Momos were super good. Sea buckthorn cake was out of the world and so was Pancake with maple syrup.Overall the food was awsome. There were a lot of options but we were up for the local food. Boss Rocky is very kind and professional, he opened his cafe at 6:30 to cook for our group and show his love early at the morning. High recommend. We had stayed in kaza for 3 nights . We all needed jain food n while coming to kaza we were searching for some good cafe or restaurant where Jain food is provided. We came across this cafe n thought of giving a try as reviews were good. N guess what we had all 3 days lunch in this cafe ...The interior of the cafe is very nice.. It has books n games too to spend time playing or reading novels with sip of hot coffee in this chilling climate... outdoor seating is also amazing...The owner of the cafe Ms Vishakha was very polite n co-operative...Talking about food :-Pizza was the best . From Burmese khowsuey, pastas, nachos, cheese toast to noodles, manchow soup, fulka roti with palak paneer n even thalipeeth everything was the best ..For desserts, banofee pie was freshly made n lipsmacking .. strawberrymilkshake n fruit custard was amazing..This is the best place to eat especially Jain food which is what u don't get everywhere or with very limited options.... Specially in such remote places getting varieties in Jain is a boon ...MUST MUST MUST GO WITHOUT THINKING .. BEST PLACE TO EAT...

Everything was too delicious here..We had few local vegetarian dishes (Thentuk, Tingmo with Shapta and Sampa cake).I will definitely recommend this place to everyone coming to Kaza...Sampa or Ragi cake was too good and was suggested by the staff🤤You can choose to sit under the sky or in house..

This is a nice hostel with friendly people. I would say it is more of a budget location and the quality follows the budget. The showers were hot! Many Buddhist monks were there and the breakfast place below the hostel is one of the best spots in town. Beware of Saturday nights though as the place across the street can have pumping house music until a bit later than many other places.

Rooms are clean and functional for what you pay. Good value. Staff are very friendly, helpful and relaxed. Location is central albeit a bit noisy on weekend as it is next to a night club. Great use of profits to benefit Tibetan peoples. Can park your motorbike also.

Lovely staff and a simple, clean room with reasonably comfortable beds and fresh duvets. The bar opposite did play [fairly awful] music until about midnight the night I was there, which was a Thursday, which wasn't so great. It's nice to support a not-for-profit however and it seems that they host a nice range of debates and classes.

Very basic rooms with clean washrooms. Bedrooms have 2 single beds. They do provide hot water in the bathroom and cold filtered drinking water in the reception. Staff is really nice and polite. Above all, its for a great cause.

This place is just amazing. Very peaceful and view from the rooms and balcony is amazing. Rooms are neat and clean. Quilts are damn good in quality. Provides you little almirah and Chair and table inside the room. Staff is so geniune and always wear asmile on face. Situated very close to main square of mcllo. You can book without any hesitation. In this price range you won't get any rooms in mcllo.

The pictures looked lovely as we booked the room but we were actually given an awful room. I mentioned this to Yeshi and he just smiled. I tried to convince myself it was basic and adequate but if you look at the pictures of our view, you'll see how hard that was.I had one of my worst shower experience in this place. I massively appreciate their great cause but if we are talking about a decent room to stay in, this was not that for us. In spite if the hassle of connecting to the wifi, we had no joy using it. I'm sure they do wonderful things but this wasn't a nice place to stay for us and we couldn't get out quick enough.

First of all, this place does great charity work and all kinds of goodness.As a hotel, it's fine. The location isn't ideal. You need to walk up a ton of stairs to reach the street. There is no toilet paper (or bum gun) provided, but the water was hot and the place is clean. The staff is very nice and knowledgable about the area and things to do.The day I was checking out, my bus was leaving ISBT in Lower Dharamshala at 4:10am. The guy at the Tibet World front desk insisted on arranging the taxi and assured me that it would be waiting out front at 3:30. The taxi never arrived, and no other taxi stand in McLeod Ganj answers the phone at that hour. This resulted in us having to walk down the wet steep roads in the pitch black darkness with our bags to flag down a passing car. We missed our bus and lost the money we spent on it, which was more than the cost of the stay at Tibet World.

I don't know what was served as soup to us. Tasted really bad. And they charged us Rs.250 for that. Momos were equally horrible.We went there since this was the only one open in that road.The name is an insult to spiti's taste.

Such a beautiful location.... It was a pleasant stay there.. We booked for just 1 night initially but we end up staying 2 nights there. Food is really good, restaurant n open sitting area where we had bonefire n fun time, it was superb... Staff is very polite and helping.

The food was yuck but the beverages excellent.The coffee was top notch as was the mulled seabuck thorn drink.But all the food we ordered was tasteless. Chili paneer was bland and chewy, The mutton in the shephali (Spiti Paratha/samosa) was not fully cooked and tasted like a poor copy of the actual dish (which I've eaten a lot of in many other places). The chicken was so bad that I was unable to swallow more than a piece or two. It marked the first time in my life I wasted non veg food.To top it all, the prices are astronomical compared to other places in town for the same items.

Great place to have authentic local Spitian food. Must try - Himalayan garden veg burger and Tirik sandwich .Very hospitable staff. They have great vegan options too.Best part is all proceeds from this cafe go towards community initiatives within Spiti.

As a native Himalayan traveller, I can say the food served here is one of the best I’ve had in Himachal. I recommend the spiti thukpa. Reminds of home. Make sure you try the sea buckthorn tea. Something unique for spiti.

Pretty average food. We tried the veg momos and they were pretty bad. The tikkir bread was nice. We ate a garden dish that wasn't too bad. Overall a disappointing meal. The best thing I had was the seabuckthorn juice :/

We went there for the dinner but what a turn off it was. Such a pathetic pizza which we left as it was not eatable. Big NO to cafe zomsa.

I almost forgot to review them, but my friends who are visiting this year reminded me of my time in Spiti. I spent almost 3 weeks there and trust me its the best place in Kaza. Best food, best ambiance, great music and the owner is a stunning traveller and a musician himself, who is living there for more than a decade and knows the entire valley in and out. If you want to see whats not available for the general tourists he is the right guy, go to Zomsa. I asked him if I can ever see a glacier without doing any extreme trekking? He made me a small map and arranged a partner for me, dropped us at a gorge, helped us cross the river in a tiny cable car and asked us to walk for 2 hours in a particular direction and there we were on a big glacier.

I am a musicians and often travel a lot w always look for places where i can play music i dint expect that in kaza at all but I was surprised when I reached this cafe they had a good sound system and stage with good equipments. I had breakfast and fixed the timing to play for audience in the evening. It turned out to be great also to mention is their food which amazing and so wonderful that in a place like kaza they are providing people with such grt menu

Foods are nice. Five out of five dishes were great. By the time we were there, techno music was blasting and it was awesome. However! My excitement jumped from rooftop to the sewer. I ordered spicy fried tofu and it took them 30 mins and after 2 calling. When it arrived I told the woman who handle order to tell customer if specific dish will take time to cook, but she talk back saying "too many order, don't want to mess with the order". That's not my problem and the fact i gotta wait for half hour means the way they handle it is not correct. Oh btw, the spicy tofu is not even tofu, the sauce is nice but whoever calling it tofu need to cross the border to Tibet to learn what's tofu.

Please don’t go with the Google reviews. They’re quite misleading for most of the in kaza.We went there for breakfast, and the staff was totally disorganised and disoriented. Owner was not around around. The order was Mistaken twice, and the food was below average.The staff was in unhygienic And shabby State. I think, presence of the owner Is a must, and will really make a difference to customer experience at the Cafe.

The cafe is good for people drinking and jamming, the food was literally bad, had ordered the pizza the Cheese was very sour with the toppings being off in taste, the vibe and atmosphere is good they have dj nights and karaoke but was closed at time of my visit.

Skip this place for heaven's sake. We had a different conversation over phone and thought it was all sorted (regarding stay and the price) and met with a completely different situation when we managed to arrive at the above address. The guy fails to receive calls on time. Pathetic 😡. Never will recommend.

Do yourself a favor and skip this place. It is not a bad place, and actually, the staff is nice and helpful. However, this place is way overpriced for what you get. We paid 3k for a double room with an extra mattress: no electricity (not their fault, but not ours either!), doors don't close properly, leaking toilet, and a general neglect state of affairs.Just go across the road to the closest option, and get a much better sleeping arrangement.

Rooms were not as expected. Service was slow. No maintenance and plug points weren't working. After complaining multiple times the issue wasn't sorted. The toilets could have been much better. The water was getting clogged. Very disappointing. Overall it's not a very great stay experience.

Hi - we had a very poor stay experience at Zostel Homes, Kibber.Firstly, it 'didn't look' like a Zostel at all - the feels, interiors, quality, hospitality, etc. I have stayed in several Z properties, I could just feel the difference. And it came into light with every passing hour:1) The bathroom gates didn't lock in the room --> caretaker said no one has complained since mostly family/couples stay with us and they are okay if the toilet gates remain open2) The kitchen/dining area had a burning sensation feel on the eye - perhaps due to the leaking heater chimney3) The food was ~1.5-2hours late, and inferior quality4) The host was downright rude - at a point even refused to give 'drinking water'5) The host got a friend/local who was incredibly drunk and threatened/fought with some of us at 'midnight' - by forcibly entering our room. They also passed 'lewd comments' - because we were traveling with a few girls. At one point, said 'whoever you are traveling with, those girls' - implying if they're not married, they should not stay togetherWe as a group felt threatened at such a remote place - and seriously reconsidered our choice of booking a Zostel property. So much so, that the next morning we vacated the room ASAP and did not even have breakfast - found one place just opposite Zostel.Would seriously advise fellow tranvelers against this property!

Worst stay experience of my life. Except the name itself, it's not a zostel. The sheets were dirty, the staff too unprofessional and the food was way below average. The washrooms could have been much better as well.

We visited Zostel Kibber in a group of 8 and sorry to say this place didn't feel like a Zostel even remotely.1. The service was extremely slow and unprofessional. Food was served 1.5-2 hours late2. The rooms were not maintained and the linens were not washed properly. On complaining about the same, we were threatened and feedback was not welcome3. The staff was outright rude and passed unwanted and rude comments without solving for the issues at hand4. The cafe area literally made our eyes burn, possibly due to a faulty chimney which the host didn't accept or showed any willingness to resolveI have stayed in multiple Zostels in India and generally had a very pleasant experience - whether it's the stay, food or vibes. This place has a long way to go to match Zostel standards. Infact, other Zostels in the same region (Spiti) are incredibly good. Would seriously advise people against this property.

I booked room here while entering my office and 15 minutes later I grabbed my car keys and I was off from chaos of Delhi to all the way to Kibber. Solo travel was a thing of past for me. For me now the word of my boss was the sermon.I reached late night there and was estonished to see such a good arrangement at such great height. Room was as per zostel standards and what surprised me were the attached toilets. Even local homes there does not have this facility. Believe me I have previous experience of dry laterines and I was down the memory lane sitting on an Italian style toilet in Kibber with newspaper in my hands.Then what catched my eyes was the menu of zostel homes Kibber; Seeing it I remembered old days when I have to chew dry meat forcefully closing my nose and that smell still haunts me. I recently had food here and had a mixed experience. The food was absolutely delicious and well-prepared dishes that truly satisfied my taste buds. However, the service was quite slow, which was a bit frustrating. Additionally, I recommend carrying cash for payments, as there was a network issue affecting UPI transactions. Overall, a great place for tasty food, but be prepared for a wait and bring cash.

I have a very mixed feeling about our stay at this place. There were some elements of home missing in the 'homestay'As a homestay the accomodation is wonderful. We felt a sense of living in a Spiti house. Rooms were very neat and spacious. It is a pet friendly space & I was accompanied by my kittens, they had a lovely time on the terrace which was entirely to us.The food was homecooked so very soothing on the stomach. We had variety in dinner for our 2 night stay. But the breakfast was the same bread and omlette both the days.The small cafe and the eating space inside the house is very personal and beautifully curated.Yet the missing element is the home atmosphere. The warmth and welcoming gesture is missing in the host family.They seem very detached and commercialised to a large extent.So much so that on the last day when after breakfast we were ready to go, they were not present for goodbyes.The entire episode felt very incomplete.

The Manirang Café and Homestay is one of the better organized homestays in Dhankar. At the time of review, the tourist season hadn't started in earnest and the terrace café was closed. The homestay, however, operates the year around. Located on the first floor of a three-storied building, it gives you a genuine experience of staying in a traditional Spiti house. Mostly built of adobe blocks and poplar wood, the ceiling has wood and thatch for insulation. Sleeping arrangements are in two communal dorms with comfortable mattresses arranged on carpeted floors. The larger room has a picture-window with a beautiful view of Dhankar village, the old and new monasteries, and the scenic mountains on the opposite bank of the Spiti river. The homestay is equipped with a shared modern toilet with WC, geyser and a shower. There's a dry Spiti toilet on the premises as well, if you want a genuine Spiti experience. Host Anil Kumar is building a family room with attached toilet on the third floor. At the time of review, it is still some months from being ready for visitors.Host Anil is a knowledgeable guide and has a vehicle. This comes in handy for solo travellers using public transport, as there's no reliable transport from Sichling, the nearest bus stop, to Dhankar, a distance of 9 kms. Charges apply.This being a homestay, you eat what the hosting family eats, so do be sensitive to local culture and the family's concerns. If you stay long enough, you can experience a range of local Spiti food like tigmo(Tibetan bread), kyu(a Spiti stew with dumplings), thenthuk, thukpa, etc. The food is simple and austere, the potatoes and peas in your meal have been locally grown. In season, you might want to stay on a room only or room+breakfast basis and try the cuisine in different restaurants in this small village, most with awesome views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Off-season, you'll need to have all your meals with the family in the traditional kitchen-cum-drawing room with a bukhari to keep you warm. All in all, a great experience, whatever the weather and the season.

Awesome place to stay with an insane view. Loved the hospitality of the owner. Their maggi and omlette were the best in our complete trip. Mark this as your stop before and after Chandratal lake trek.

This is the best cafe in Kaza. They have the best food in Kaza. Ask and try local dishes.We sat on the outside open area and from there the view of mountains is just 😍We had Hot Chocolate here and it was the best I had till date and believe me, I had many till date. 😅 The thickness and taste of hot chocolate is just out of this world.

Well it's in kaza so let's not go into the scenic view. Food tastes great, quantity as usual less with aesthetic cafes. The ambience is awesome, you get different styles of sitting area. They offer various collectibles as well.

Great ambiance and a space for every one to work and chill. Outside seating is good with awesome views. Local made flat noodles with their own soup is amazing. Parking is non existent because it is located in a busy market area.

It’s a gem of Kaza, delicious food and awesome ambiance. Such lovely set up and cool vibes after a long journey. Rikesh was on toes since we entered the cafe and honestly guided us thru the menu. So far had the best Dalle Momos ever. A nice and cozy place which has excellent food. Great ambience, with fireplace in the middle. It has books that you could also read, while you wait for food.The food tasted great but also a bit on a expensive side compared to the other local restaurants nearby. Would really recommend it though.

Amazing place in Kaza to have a good meal. Unbelievable atmosphere with neatly arranged place. I had breakfast there but main timing here is dinner time. So go there and have dinner if you are in Kaza. Beautiful place with a lot of options available if you are a foodie. You can also buy souvenirs there which are beautiful. Parking is not available so go by walk from your hotel or homestay.

This place is located at Kaza market. Already, you can see the vibe of this place was different than the surroundings. Love the decor and the ambience inside the food was very well done in the options in the menu were plenty. In my opinion, this is the best cafe present in the Kaza market. The prices on the higher side and can be considered a fine dine in the mountains. Definitely a must visit when you visit Kaza.

We did try a few on their recommendation and it was simply amazing. The coffee there is so good, best I have had in all of Spiti Valley, rather in all of Himachal. Stylish cozy place with lovely terrace with pelargonium, beautiful view, delicious food. Milkshakes are great. Dinner with friends was wonderful, we were served fast, big variety of different meals, totally recommended ✔️

We visited Cafe piti twice during our stay in kaza. the food, variety and service is very good. the peanut butter smoothie was refreshing. the overall feel of the place is very calming and they even have a balcony to sit and enjoy the view while you eat. its one of the best places in kaza to eat and the quality of food is top notch.

This place is a cozy place which serves good food and drinks.They have good options in vegetarian and also have seating place outside.It's a vibrant place and good for all age groups. I tried bruschetta and steamed momo and the taste was nice. Their brownie is something to try on.One can surely visit this place for light meals and to relax. The menu is fairly priced and is easy on pockets.

The cafe is beautifully designed and the seating arrangements were really nice. They have indoor seating with a heating stove and outdoor seating with clear mountain views.I had Jumbo sized Amdo Momo with chicken filling and Tea. The Amdo Momo, I've seen before on tv were not exactly like this, they looked more presentable. The momo tasted fine, nothing extraordinary. The tea was also ok, nothing great.This place has books that you can read and spend a leisurely time. However, there was one manager or some staff positioned at the counter who was constantly looking, as if the guests were under scrutiny! It was very uncomfortable! I can consider it to be a one off incident!Overall, my experience was good. You should visit this place because of the nice food, ambiance and the views.

I have been to a lot of cafes in kolkata, but this one in Kaza, Spiti Valley is One of the best cafes I have ever been to. We were a group of 13 and whatever we ordered was super tasty and delicious. As a result we came here for 3 days continuously . I requested the owner to meet the chefs and complimented then for their super duper food.

We had an excellent lunch. Each and every dish be it spicy pasta or local pasta or ema dachi or the hot chocolate - everything was exceptionally tasty and fresh. The atmosphere was lovely.

Beautiful cafe with a breathtaking view outside. The food was delicious and homelike. Service was amazing. This cafe was pet friendly and meera (owner’s pet dog) welcomes you with a warm gesture🥺. They even let us hang out till late night, when no other place was open miles around. We made some of pur best memories here. Would love to visit again!!

This is one of the most beautiful places we stayed in sissu, it's right on the manali leh highway and the place is affordable too. We stayed here for a night and the room was cosy enough and the food at the cafe was exceptional too...

Decent place to hangout at a very beautiful location with mesmerizing view.We had Maggie, sandwiches and black coffee while enjoying the snow from window. The food was delicious and hygienic.The host was welcoming and very good in nature.Fully recommended.
