Troop Trees are a way for Bannerlord to show players exactly which way their various troops can go.

Let’s say you have a normal peasant in your army. They will usually be a tier 0 troop. If you look through this peasant’s Troop Tree, you will see that at tier 2 you might have a choice between making them an archer or infantry unit.

With the help of the Troop Tree, you can see exactly where your flimsy peasant can get after a lot of experience, and you can start planning early what you want to do with them.

By using the Troop Tree, you will know exactly how your army is supposed to look in an in-game month or two, and you will know exactly what troops to recruit from villages andprisoners.

If you use the Troop Tree, you can also see various information about each troop, such as their equipment, tier, unit type (ranged, infantry, cavalry, or horse archer), and even required XP to get there.

How can you see your Troop Tree?

You can very easily access the Troop Trees of all the units in Bannerlord by following these steps:

  1. Press “N” on your keyboard.
  2. Select the “Troops” option.
  3. Click on any unit.

You will now see the whole Troop Tree of that unit.

Another quick way to check the Troop Tree of a unit in your party is to right-click them in your party menu. You will instantly access their whole Troop Tree in a second.
