I I Monday, January 31, 2005 Green Bay Press-Gazette www.greenbaypressgazette.com OBITUARIES AND FUNERALS Denor, Genevieve "Jenny" Genevieve "Jenny" Denor, 82, 222 Cleveland Brillion, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born on Dec. 20, 1922, in Gravesville, daughter of the late George and Ernestine (Kopeschka) Steger. On Aug.

31, 1946, she married Peter L. Denor in Kellnersville. She worked at Pritzl Hardware Store and Dvorak Hardware Store, both in Brillion and also the Brillion Iron Works. Jenny was a member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion, the Ladies Aid, she was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Brillion for over 50 years and the Brillion Historical Society.

Survivors include her children, Robert Denor, Reedsville; James Denor, Glen Ellyn, Barb (Robert) Koldon, Lake Zurich seven grandchildren, Shaun, Leigh, Kara, Erin, Lindsy, Cooper and Meagan. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Peter in 1970; a daughter-in-law Judy; and a brother, Elroy. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St.

Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Brillion.

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. The Weiting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements. Fletcher, Donald Donald Fletcher, 86, De Pere, formerly of Shawano, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005.

Arrangements are pending at this time. Swedberg Funeral Home of Shawano is assisting the family with arrangements. Gaddis, Dale T. Dale T. Gaddis, 67, Town of Ledgeview, died peacefully on Jan.

Please visit www.malcore funeralhome.com to send online condolences to the family. Gering Paul K. Paul K. Gering, age 87, of Green Bay, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at a local hospital.

He was born Nov. 27, 1917, in Green Bay to Paul and Lillie Alma Witte Gering. In 1935, Paul graduated from East High School. In 1939, he graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. On Nov.

21, 1942, Paul married Maria Ellen McFarland at Camp Maxey, Texas. Mr. Gering served with the Army of the United States, Corps of Engineers during World War II and participated in the five major battles in the European Theater of Operations. He served five years of active duty and sixteen years active Reserve Duty. On Jan.

15, 1978, Paul retired from the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as Yardmaster, Green Bay District, Lake Shore Division. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5382, the American Legion SullivanWallen Post the Reserve Officers Association, the Military Officers Association, the Third Armored Division Association (Spearhead Div), the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge and the United Transportation Union. He was also a member of St. Agnes Parish where he served as an usher and Eucharistic Minister. He enjoyed the years spent as a member of the St.

Agnes Galley Crew, preparing delicious breakfasts and dinners for many social functions of the church and as a member of the Booyah Crew for the church picnics. He was a member of the Parish Men's Club and also served as Scoutmaster for several years. After retiring from the railroad, Paul worked part time as groundskeeper and assistant custodian for the church and for Holy Family School. He enjoyed being outside. Most of his working days were spent outside in all kinds of weather.

Some of the best times of the day were the minutes when the sun was coming up on a cold, crisp morning in January. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed the time spent at the cottage at Little Sturgeon Bay. Survivors include his wife, Maria; daughter, Lilisa (Lisa) Gering; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Kristie Marie (David) Richmond, Dustin James (Holly) Gering, Patrick Michael (Kara) Gering, Jenny (David) Sylvester, Paula Mayer, Tim Mayer and Robert Mayer also nine great grandchildren, Ashley Dianne Gering, Jessica Marie Long, Nickolas James Gering, Austin David Sylvester, Brooke Jean Richmond, Christian Robert Zietler, Matthew Paul Gering, Alexis Jeanne Gering, Alex Robert Sylvester and very dear friends, Robert and Dianne Mayer and a sister-in-law, Ann Montchyk of Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Michael Gering. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave.

Wednesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth Street. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating.

Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Kubiak, Jake (Gerald John) Jake Kubiak, 53, passed in to God's heavenly kingdom on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, following a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. The third child of Gerald and Betty (Charneski) Kubiak, he was born Gerald John Kubiak on Nov. 12, 1951.

Everyone knew him as Jake is the beloved husband of Terry (Christensen). They were married on Dec. 7, 1996. He is the proud, devoted and loving father of Jessica and Christopher, and stepdaughter, Heather Hern. Jake cherished his grandchildren Ashley Hern and Marceilus "Buster" Ard.

Jake loved life and lived it to the fullest. He committed his life to Jesus in 1995. He touched many people's lives and never missed an opportunity to boldly witness his Christian faith to them. Jake participated in the family swimming pool business for many years and loved designing and building water features. In recent years he enjoyed and had the opportunity to work with his son Chris and father-in-law Gordy building fountains in Menominee and Munising, MI.

Jake dearly loved his children, and delighted in spending time with them, especially Sunday afternoons watching NASCAR, eating candy, and talking smart with Jessica and Chris. He was passionate about being funloving Papa Jake to Ashley and "Buster." He especially enjoyed the "adventure" trips he and Ashley took. Along with his wife, children and grandchildren, Jake is survived by, and will be greatly missed by his family; his parents, Jerry and Betty; his three brothers and their spouses, Ken Kubiak and fiance Bev, Mike and Jeanne Kubiak, Dave and Connie Kubiak, all of Green Bay; and one sister and her husband, Joanie and Jeff Beauvais, Corvallis, Oregon. Jake will be sadly missed by Terry's family; her parents Gordon and Mary Christensen, Shawano; her brothers and their wives, Bruce and Judy Christensen, Tulsa, Okla- Death records DENOR, Genevieve, 82, Brillion. Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anton Kubiak and Genevieve Kubiak, and Stanley and Gertrude Charneski, an infant sister, Kathleen Kubiak, and nephew, Tony Kubiak. Friends and family may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. A remembrance prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Interfaith Fellowship, 1840 West Mason Street from 10 to 11 a.m.

A Christian celebration of Jake's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Jerry Bruette officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. A memorial fund will be established for the Lymphoma Society of America in Jake's name.

Marks, Helen G. Helen G. Marks, age 93, Oconto Falls, who will always be lovingly remembered as matriarch of her family, went home to be with her Lord and a vi ur, Jesus Christ, on Thursday morning, Jan. 27, 2005, at her residence, with her family by her side. She was born May 28, 1911, in Wausau, to Gustave and Lydia (Dobraska) Krause.

As a little girl she moved with her family to the Klondike area where she attended Central Grade School. Helen later attended Oconto Falls High School for three years before moving to Stephenson, where she graduated from high school with the Class of 1928. Following graduation from high school, she worked for a short time for Illinois Bell Phone Company. On June 15, 1929, she married Henry L. Marks Jr.

The couple lived in Oconto Falls for most of their married life where they farmed and raised their six children. Helen once worked as a bookkeeper at the Northern Wisconsin Creamery in Oconto Falls for 16 years. As a longtime and faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Helen was active in all of the women's church activities, taught Sunday school for many years, and remained active in bible study until just recently. Helen lived and shared her deep Christian faith so naturally with her family, many friends, and all she met. Helen is survived by her five children who dearly loved and cared for their mother, Norbert (Marian) Marks, Ruth Schulz and Dorothy Ellner, all of Oconto Falls; Donald (Karen) Marks, Green Bay; Judy (Dean) Moede, Menasha; one daughter-inlaw, Barbara Kluckman, Green Bay; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who Helen cherished; two sisters, lone Raatz, Florida; Bernice Gustafson, Milwaukee; one brother, Jerry (Alice) Shevey, New Berlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepfather, Louis Sheevy; her husband, Henry "Hank" Marks on Jan. 22, 1993; one brother, Marvin Sheevy; her son, David "Homer" Marks; two sons-inlaw, Mick Schulz and Bob Ellner; two grandchildren, Scott and Janet Marks; and one great-grandson, Drew Olson. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service (920-848- 2222) in Oconto Falls after 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005.

25, 2005, in Houston, TX, a former Green Bay Packer who bodyslammed Chicago Bears' Jim McMahon in a high-emotion game in 1986. Charles was wearing a white towel with a hit list of Bears player numbers on it during the game. Charles was honored to be: a Packer. Kidney failure ended his football career. Born Aug.

A complete obituary will be in the Tuesday edition of the paper. Nienstedt, Ned Ned Nienstedt, age 93, Gillett, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 30, 2005. Ned was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Two Rivers, to the late Henry and Ella (Kosser) Nienstedt.

Ned was a lifelong resident of Gillett. On March 18, 1941, Ned married Adelia Litke in Gillett. She preceded him in death Nov. 15, 2000. Ned retired from Ansorge Distributing Gillett, where he was employed for 35 years.

Ned was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, and the Gillett Civic Club. He served on the Gillett School Board and the Oconto County Board. Ned received the Rural Urban Recognition Award.

Ned is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Nanette and Scott Dryburgh, Brookfield; two sons and daughters-in-law Noel and Wanda, Gillett; Randall and Chris, Oshkosh; four grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Neighbors, Wauwatosa; Lindsey Nienstedt, Gillett; Jessica Nienstedt and Aaron Nienstedt, both of Oshkosh. As a young man Ron worked with his Dad at Rein's Midget Market. In 1961 he was employed at Baker Boy in Green Bay until he retired due to disability. Ron enjoyed fishing, the casino, the Packers, his cat, Knuckles, spending time at his trailer up North and times spent with his family. Survived by his children: Dawn (Randy) Micolichek of Green Bay; Dean Rein of Green Bay; four grandchildren: Angela Rein; Randy Micolichek, Kayla Rein; and Gabriel Rein; one great grandson: Derek Rein; former spouse: Mary Boyce of Green Bay; one brother-in-law: Dennis Bachmann of Cecil; special friend: Al Anderson of Green Bay; other relatives and friends.
